Peggy Joe Henderson Baker, aged 82, passed away on February 2, 2021 at her home in Cuernavaca, Mexico. No service will be held in Pampa.
Born April 26, 1938 in Amarillo, Texas
She grew up and attended schools in Kermit, Texas. She married Noel Ralph Stacy in 1967, he died in 1967. She married Robert M. (Bob) Baker in 1969. They were married for 32 years. He died in 2001. She was also proceeded in death by her father, Evans Dawson (Dee) Henderson, mother, Joy Bee Arnold Henderson, sister, Patsy Ruth Henderson. Brothers Riley Henderson, Kenneth Henderson and Terry Henderson, sister Wanda Cooper, and daughters JoBeth Shelley, Lisa Elliott, and Valorie Pfannenstiel, and one granddaughter, Evangeline Davis.
She worked for the District Attorney in Pampa for eight years, the Pampa News for two years, and then worked as a travel agent in Pampa for 23 years. She had a passion for travel and visited many different countries during her lifetime, especially her beloved Mexico.
Survived by her husband, Edilberto Samano of Cuernavaca, Mexico, whom she married in 2012, and one brother, Larry Henderson and wife Rowena, of Canada. And 4 of her Children: Dean Elliott and wife Linda of Memphis, Texas, Bobby Wayne (Pete) Elliott of Alpine, Texas, Terri Wilterding and husband David, of Amarillo, Texas and Kelley Baker and wife Melody, of Pampa, Texas.
