Roy Brewer knew Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior and entered into his eternal, heavenly home on June 29, 2023.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Robertson Route 66 Chapel in McLean with Casey Carter officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.

Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 5th from 1:00 - 7:00 PM with family receiving friends for visitation from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.

Roy was born July 11, 1941 in Ecorse, Michigan to Ruby and Frank Brewer. He married Patricia McPherson and had 3 beautiful children. Later in life, he married his second wife, Rovena Wright. Roy loved his family.

Roy was a patriot and served his country for 6 years in the Army National Guard. He began his career with the Santa Fe Railway in 1972 and worked 30 years until retirement. He was a dedicated employee.

Roy was a licensed Amateur Radio Operator and his favorite pastimes were talking on his Ham radio, drinking coffee and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke and told the best stories. His family and friends loved and admired him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rovena Brewer, his twin brother, Troy Brewer, and two other siblings: Mary Stanley and Charles Brewer.

He is survived by his children; his daughter Angelia Failor, and his sons: Roy Brewer and Marty Brewer. Survivors also include his brother Bobby Brewer and sister Charlene Havron.

He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren: Michael Failor, Briana Beck, Kyle Brewer, Megan Brewer, Justin Brewer, and Austin Brewer. Survivors also include several great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
