The Hype Salon, located at 120 W Kingsmill, Suite 105 will be hosting its second ‘Hair Cut Give Back’ inititative.

“Giving back is imporant to me,” Owner, Kayla Henry said. “Before moving here, ny husband and I did a lot with the school he taught at in San Angelo and wanted to con-tinue in some capacity here in Pampa. I love this thing we’re doing because haircuts are sometimes expensive but also needed.”

The give back will take place, Sunday January 8 from 1 till 5. It’s for all school age kids, from pre-k to senior. There is a form to be filled out to be added in for a slot, and that form can be found on the salons facebook or be calling them at (806) 261-0008. After 4 on the day of the event, they will take walk ins as well. “I plan to continue doing this every semester to give back in a small way,” Henry said. “I hope it grows into something that all the salons in town get in on.”

The salon will have two stylists giving cuts one after another on Sunday, those two being Henry herself and Kaydiegh McNeil.

“I hope as many people that can benefit from this get a chance, we sometimes forget about the kids, especially around the holidays,” Henry said. “So if we can provide these two haircuts atleast, then I am going to do that.”

The benefit is not just for kids in the Pampa school district, surrounding towns can also be involved with the give back.

“It’s for any school age kid,” Henry said. “It’s our way to give back to the community and I want to do that. I am so thankful for every-thing the community in Pampa has done for my business and family so I want to give back.”

To get a form for the event, visit the salons Facebook page or give them a call at (806)261-0008 or message Kayla on Facebook.
