Wes Thomas, 69, of Pampa, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Pampa.

Services will be 2:00 PM on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Albert Maggard, pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating. Burial will follow at White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Wes was born on February 25, 1952 in Pampa to Charley and Gladys Graham Thomas. He attended school in Pampa for several years. Wes married, the love of his life, Sherry Arnold on November 24, 1976 in Pampa. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life. Wes enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching sports, and going dancing with Sherry. He was member of the NRA and the Pampa Rifle and Pistol Club. Wes was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved getting to know people and, most importantly, spending time with his family. Wes was an onery man that was loved by many, he will be remembered for his beautiful smile and kind heart. Wes was passionate about music and singing, he enjoyed hearing that he sounded just like Elvis Presley.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nelda Allred; great-grandchild, Brinton David Dressler; and a nephew, John Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry of the home; 2 children, Dana McPherson Martinez and husband D and Rodney McPherson and wife Kathleen, all of Pampa; siblings, W.D. Thomas of Pampa and Marie Burns, both of Pampa, Carrol Thomas of Lubbock, and Ricky Thomas of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren, Gabriel Martinez, Demetrio Martinez IV, Daniel Martinez, DaNae Martinez, Ben Ponce and wife Hannah, Heather Ponce, Evan Free, Christian Free and wife Miranda, Kim Vance, Erik Shepard and wife Chen, Elizabeth Ray, Alexandria Wagner and husband Joshua, and Crystalee Dressler and husband Garrett; 16 great-grandchildren, Rylee Ponce, Harmony Lane, Teagan Lane, Cali Ponce, Emma Ponce, Dawson Free, Carson Free, Andrew Ray, Christopher Ray, Mary Ray, Isabella Dressler, Faith Wagner, Hope Wagner, Gracie Dressler, Regina Martinez, and Catherine Martinez; 5 bonus children, Kelle Horton, D.J. McPherson, Tony McPherson, Shawn McPherson, and Kinsey McPherson; 4 bonus grandchildren, Maggie Crutchfield, Riley Crutchfield, Charles Jones, and Demi Jones; 2 dogs, Cricket and Skeeter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1700 Alcock St, Pampa, TX, 79065.

The family will receive friends starting at 5:00 PM on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Armory, 12065 E Frederick Ave, Pampa, TX, 79065.
