Treat yourself to amazing skin with Layne & Kate Esthetics. The esthetician salon is owned and operated by Jetta Grant, a five-year licensed Esthetician. Her business is located at 1633 N. Nelson St., inside Community Christian Church and Monroe’s Event Center.

Grant highlighted the reason behind opening her facial treatment salon.

“I always struggled with my skin growing up and it was a big insecurity of mine. Once I got it under control, I just wanted to help other people with the same issues,” Grant said. “Helping other people is what I like to do and it is what I have wanted to do.”

Layne & Kate Esthetics, named after Grant’s daughters Mia Layne and Laramie Kate, officially opened last month. Grant offers custom facials, microdermabrasion, and back facials. The facials focus on treating acne and hydrating skin whereas microdermabrasion removes dead surface skin cells with a diamond-tip applicator.

Grant has big plans in store for her business.

“I plan to add hydro facials and chemical peels. I might add waxing in the future,” Grant said.

Grant expresses her sincerest appreciation for the support she has received thus far.

“I want to thank my dad and step-mom, Troy and Brea, for letting me rent out a room in their church,” Grant said. “I’d also like to thank my husband, Brendan, for helping me achieve my dream. Also Tammy Didway, I rented out a room from her at the Beau-tique for a few months and that helped me get more experience. I appreciate her and what she has done for me.”
