Mason Bagwell and Terry Ketchum finished 2nd at the tennis regionals tournament and they have now qualified for state. At the regional tournament Mason and Terry were seeded 2nd. Their opening round was against El Paso Austin defeating them 6-0 6-0. The next round they played Ft. Stockton and continued their success winning that one also 6-0 6-0. We then play a good Burkburnett team in the semifinals play a good match but not best winning 6-2 6-3. The next day in the finals we played Randall only to fall short losing 1-6 1-6. Knowing if we lost that match we possibly would have a playback against Wichita Falls. The boys had to regroup themselves to get ready to play a match that would decide if we would go to state. Mason and Terry started the match off slow and a little tight but held on to win the first set 7-6(3) then they began to loosen up and play their game winning the next set 6-2 to advance to state. These boys have worked long and hard for this accomplishment and I am so proud of them for their accomplishment. State will be April 25-26 in San Antonio.
