Dance Academy of Pampa Gears up for ‘23 Season

Deanna McGill, Owner of Dance Academy of Pampa, has been involved with Dance her whole life and continues that passion today, year after year.

“I got into dance when I was younger, my father was in dance when he was young as well,” McGill said. “I went to school at WT for Dance and then was able to work alongside my dance instructor for many years.”

McGill, like her father and aunt danced at ‘Beaux Arts Dance Studio’ and worked alongside after school at Beaux Arts before opening her own studio. The Dance Academy of Pampa was first opened in 2009 after working for 16 years with her dance instructor, but she’s been teaching since ‘88.

The Dance Academy of Pampa offers classes for Ballet, Tap and Jazz and the are having open enrollment right now with classes beginning Monday, January 9 gearing up for the Spring Recital that will take part on May 20th.

“We also offer courses throughout the summer,” McGill said. “We do ballet camps, hip hop, superhero and princess camps which the kids always love to do.”

Along with the Spring Recital, the theme will be ‘Baby, I’m a Star’, the academy will also do its annual Nutcracker that McGill has been doing since the beginning.
