Posted

The Pampa Animal Welfare Society will be having its annual Shrimp Boil on February 25th. The event will be held at the MK Brown Civic Center from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Come and enjoy delicious food, drinks, a silent auction, and music performed by Roy Lott.

Petie Bullis, one of the wonderful members of PAWS,

eagerly spoke about the upcoming event.

“The shrimp boil is our biggest fundraising event of the year,” Bullis said.

The event is sponsored by Pampa establishments like B&G Floral, Brandon’s Flowers, Pampa Chamber of Commerce and The Grooming Shop.

There will be many tables filled with items donated by local businesses and citizens for the silent auction.

As well, PAWS will have a select number of dogs from the shelter attending that will be available for adoption.

“Dogs will be available for adoption at the shrimp boil,” Bullis said. “People can come to the animal shelter the next day to pick up the dog and their paperwork.”

Worth mentioning, all of the food will be cooked separately to avoid cross-contamination. Those with shellfish allergies can happily enjoy an abundance of sausage, corn and potatoes.

Tickets to the PAWS Shrimp Boil cost $30 and are available for purchase at the Pampa Animal Shelter. As well, tickets can be purchased at the door during the event.
