AMARILLO, TX – FirstBank Southwest (“FBSW”) announced the appointment of Steve Bowen as Senior Vice President, Commercial Senior Lender, Jim Bryan as Senior Vice President Commercial Lender II, and Cathy Tate as Portfolio Manager in their Downtown Banking Center location.
Steve Bowen has 43-years of banking experience, mostly in the commercial lending area. Prior to joining FBSW, Steve was at Happy State Bank and American State Bank. Steve currently serves on the Boards of the Amarillo Symphony and United Way of Amarillo/Canyon as well as a member of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Business Council. Mr. Bowen is an active member of First Baptist Church, serves as a Deacon, and serves as a Young Adult Sunday School Teacher. He has been married to his wife, Stephanie for 38-years and have three sons and five grandchildren.
Jim Bryan has 44-years of banking experience. Prior to joining FBSW, Jim was at Wells Fargo in Canyon, TX, and Happy State Bank. He has served 38 years with the United Way of Amarillo/Canyon and 11 years as a Board member of Canyon Economic Development Corporation. He is married to his wife, Monique and has three children and two grandchildren.
As Commercial Lenders, both Steve and Jim will be responsible for the marketing, preparation, and servicing of loans to businesses and professionals.
Cathy Tate has 43 years of banking experience. Prior to joining FBSW, she was at Happy State Bank and American State Bank. As a Portfolio Manager, Cathy will assist both Steve and Jim with their commercial customers. She is a partner and support for loan officers and provides reoccurring customer service to existing and prospective clients.
