Fishing Report on Texas Lakes

Lake Meredith: FAIR. Water stained; 65 degrees; 50.65 feet low. Fishing is good and some are saying the best it’s been in over a decade. Walleye are biting on minnows in water depths of 30 feet. White bass are schooling up feeding on shad.

Lake Greenbelt: SLOW. Water stained; 74 degrees; 39.11 feet low. Fishing is very slow heading into Fall. Very few reports of catches or action on the lake.

White River: SLOW. Water stained; 66 degrees; 20.40 feet low. Fishing continues to be slow. Largemouth bass and stripers are fair in shallow water using plastics. Crappie are fair on minnows around rock structures. Walleye are good on minnows. Channel catfish are good on dough bait and minnows on the bottom.

Alan Henry: FAIR. Water clear; 70 degrees; 2.13 feet low. The lake is healthy and the fish are feeding up. The aquatic vegetation is the perfect environment to cultivate fishing on the lake. Black bass, spotted bass, and largemouth bass are booming using brim-colored football jigs and trolling with crankbaits. Search anywhere from 2-35 feet of water. Crappie fishing is excellent, in structure on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on live or cut bait and stinkbait.

Arrowhead: GOOD. Water lightly stained; 75 degrees; 1.68 feet low. Catfish are good on baited holes. Crappie are good at the derricks, around docks, and submerged timber to about 4 feet.
