Harvie Dunn, Jr., 76, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Denison.

Services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Daniel Trejo, officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Harvie was born on March 14, 1945 in Lufkin to Harvie, Sr. and Macil Williford Dunn. He grew up all over the country, moving for his father’s military career. Harvie met the love of his life, Ella Just, when he was in high school. He enlisted in the Army on January 25, 1966. Harvie asked Ella to marry him the night before he was sent overseas. He married Ella on April 9, 1966 in Clarendon. Harvie proudly served his country, as a lineman in the Army, until January 24, 1972. After Harvie left the military, he worked as a forklift operator for IRI for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing during his free time. Harvie served as a scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America for several years. Ella and Harvie enjoyed singing duets together at church and loved the old hymns.

Harvie was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Dunn of the home; one son, James Dunn of Lewisville; one sister, Betty Slaybaugh of Waynesville, Missouri; one brother, Bob Dunn of Seattle, Washington; and a dear friend, Daniel Trejo of Pampa.
