Karen (Fuller) Jean

BUCKLIN, KANSAS – Karen (Fuller) Jean, 82, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Hill Top House, Bucklin.

She was born February 5, 1939 in Rice County, Kansas, the daughter of Keith Eldred and Edith Alene (Ferrell) Fuller.  She was a longtime Pampa, Texas resident where she worked as an LPN for Dr. Hampton for many years until retiring.  She moved to Bucklin from Pampa in 2018.

She was a member of the Pampa Church of Christ, Moose Lodge and volunteered at the Good Sam’s and Pampa Senior Citizens Center all in Pampa.

On August 17, 1956 she married Covert “Jim” Jean at Meade, Kansas.  He preceded her in death on September 14, 2011.

Survivors include: 2 sons, David Jean, Coats, Kansas and Bill Jean, Denver, Colorado; 2 daughters, Jackie Robertson and husband Stan, Greensburg, Kansas and Jo Ann Holman and husband Dennis, Pampa; 2 brothers, K.O. Fuller and wife Nadene, McPherson, Kansas and Pete Fuller and wife Brenda, Stafford, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Nikijo Smith, Cambrey Cook and husband Stacy and Brittney Jean; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Private family service will be held at a later date. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Prairie or Hill Top House both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
