Kay Lynn Bowers entered eternity on Thursday morning, November 26, 2020 to rejoice in heaven with the Blessed Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. Kay was born on December 5, 1959 to JM & Mildred Thrasher in Canadian, TX. She married Doyle Bowers on July 2, 1977 in Pampa, TX, and afterward began the honorable and fulfilling calling of keeper of the home. She lovingly tended to her husband and four children, and later bestowed showers of loving blessings on eleven grandchildren. After raising her children, Kay made many treasured friendships with ladies she worked with at Dunlap’s and Beall’s in Pampa and Marble Falls. She was also a member of Briarwood Full Gospel in Pampa where she had an abundance of loved ones.

As a born again believer in Jesus Christ, Kay spent most of her time praying for her family and friends and diligently loving and serving them. Her prayers also encompassed our nation and its leaders. She loved taking rock-hunting trips with her beloved husband and best friend, Doyle. They enjoyed sunrises, sunsets, and the beauty of God’s Creation together. Doyle is so grateful for their 43 year journey of love, joy, trials, forgiveness, peace and victory by the blood of Christ, who saves us all from the penalty of sin and gives everlasting life. Kay’s favorite Scripture passage was Psalm 23, which she repeated throughout this turbulent year, as the LORD prepared her for a battle with a brain tumor unto death, from which the LORD delivered her into his glorious presence forevermore. Kay’s family and friends will miss her dearly, but take comfort that the LORD JESUS will bring all believers together again in his great kingdom by his grace.

Kay is survived by her husband, Doyle of Lubbock; daughter, Joy Hall and husband Bryan and their seven children: Ethan, Will, Sarah, Heston, Bowen, Myla and Lincoln of Lubbock; daughter Rachel Biagini, son-in-love Nick Biagini and their three daughters: Sophia, Juliana, and Gabriella of Marble Falls; daughter Amber Passini and husband Daniel and their daughter Soren of Amarillo; son Logan Bowers of Amarillo; and Kay’s brother Kennith Thrasher and his wife Linda of Canadian.

A memorial service is planned on December 5, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Freeway Bible Chapel in Lubbock, TX with Dr. Daniel Passini, speaking. A Zoom link will be provided on the Combest Funeral Home website for those who wish to attend virtually. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Bridge Hospice, 3409 19th Street, Lubbock, TX 79410.
