Kooper Zane Preston, 13 of White Deer, passed away on October 18, 2021 in Pampa.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 22, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Pampa with Pastor Buzz Busby, pastor of Cowkids For Christ, and Pastor Paul Nachtigall, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Kooper was born February 25, 2008 in Amarillo to Tommy and Kaysi Preston.  He attended Austin Elementary and was currently in the 7th grade at Pampa Junior High. Kooper wore the #44 jersey for the 7th grade football team.  He also had a love for baseball, as he played catcher and short stop for the Pampa Patriots wearing #38.  Kooper was also involved in Tri State Region 1 Rodeo Association where he participated in bull riding and steer wrestling.  He was the type of kid that wanted the rankest bull he could get and the strongest steer.  During his time at rodeos, he also became involved in Cowkids For Christ. He also enjoyed fishing with his Papa and wake boarding.  Kooper loved to live life to the fullest and loved being around people.  His family was so important him and he always gave them a hug and told them he loved them.  Kooper had some really good friends and he loved each of them.  He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Kaysi Preston of White Deer; 2 brothers, Kade Preston of White Deer and Riggan Preston and wife Alisyn of Fairbanks, Alaska; 2 sisters, Meggan Gonzales and husband Morgan and Ashley Preston all of Lubbock; his Nana and Papa, Steve and Shirley Fueglein of Pampa; his Granny and Poppy, Stanley and Cathy Nelson of Hart; great grandmother, Marie Winsett of Hobart, Oklahoma; aunt and uncle, John and Laura Laurant of Clovis, New Mexico; 3 nieces, Makenna, Maicen, and Merritt Gonzales; 2 nephews, Maddox Gonzales and Brantley Preston.  He was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
