LaVenna Ruth Pannell, 79, of Briscoe, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Briscoe, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler, Texas, with Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Wheeler Friday, November 19, 2021, from 9:00AM-6:00PM and also Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 8:00AM- 10:00 AM.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
LaVenna was born on October 29, 1942 to Oscar Follis Lena Meeks Follis in Pampa, Tx. She married Eddie Jr. Pannell and they have lived in Wheeler County together since 1992. They had 2 sons, Kirk and Corey Pannell. LaVenna cherished her kids and family and loved their family gatherings. She enjoyed cooking and loved playing bingo very much. She enjoyed all crafts, but her favorite crafts were painting, ceramics, crocheting, and quilting. LaVenna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lena Follis and 2 sisters, Mary Lou Follis and Alta Lena Mae Follis.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Jr. “EJ” Pannell of Briscoe, Texas; 2 sons, Kirk Pannell of Briscoe, Texas and Corey and wife Colleen Pannell of Elgin, Texas; 1 brother, Calvin and Wife May Follis of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
