Monroe's Event Center

Monroe’s Event Center officially opened it’s doors in October of 2022. Serving the community in many different ways, as an event center, Monroe’s offers a multitude of different venues.

“We have the wedding side of things, where we can host a ceremony and reception all in one place,:” Madison Shelden, Event Coordinator/Co-Owner said. “But we also have rooms that can be used to host just about anything you envision.”

With a large facility, including a large gym, Monroe’s is able to accommodate anyone with just about anything.

“We just hosted a dodge ball event here in our gym,” Shelden said. “With the size of the facilities, we can do just about anything someone would want.”

Monroe’s is family affair, the four owners all being family, the name is no different to the importance of family.

“We named the company after me and Terra’s father,” Breanne Schwiegerath said. “Family is very important to us and our father passed away not to long ago so we felt this would be a nice way to honor him.”

The property features a large church, and a large gymnasium. Monroe’s is located where First Christian Church used to be, but over the years and changes, it was purchased by the family to build out Monroe’s but still features a church, now called ‘Community Christian Church’

“Monroe’s pays rent into the building fund because this facility is still a church,” Shelden said. “We can use the entirety of these facilities but we give the church it’s own space, and the school. We felt it was important to not mess with those things already in place.”

CCS (Community Christian School) is still housed out of the building and operates the same as before with support from Monroe’s.

“We did some slight upgrades to the building after purchasing it,” Shelden said. “Some of the places that we upgraded are spots that CCS use and we’re happy to let them use it.”

Along with the many different events, Monroe’s was the location that the Pampa High School Choir used to host it’s flea market, using the fellowship hall for the event. Since opening in October, they’ve already hosted 10 different events and hope to continue growing into serving more people and more events.

“We all love getting to do this, we’ve poured so much into this facility,” Shelden said. “This space is for anyone that has a vision and wants to let us help them reach that vision. We still have some things we want to do but it’ll have to happen over time, not all at once.”

Monroe’s Event Center is located at 1633 N Nelson St or can be reached at (806) 662-5057
