Ky Parnell, a 2021 Pampa High Graduate has been in the media/photography business since a young age.

“I picked up photography when I was 9 or 10, just for like friends and stuff,” Parnell said. “But the more it grew, I really wanted to do more with it.”

Mix Media One was founded in 2017 with three parties being involved, but as of January 1, the company is now under the leadership. Drew Facio, one of the companies founders posted to Facebook the day the exchange was finalized saying, ‘I started Mix Media One 6 years ago alongside two of my closest friends.Over those years, many of us have worked day in and day out to build a company from nothing to something ... As of January 1, 2023 I have officially turned the business over to one of my closest friends, Ky Parnell. This by far was the hardest decisions I made .. it’s in the right hands to continue to propel it forward to even greater levels.’

Parnell has been with Mix Media One since high school, a recommendation from Zac Green, while he continued in his photography on the side. Parnell posed the idea of taking the shares from Facio and taking over the company in October of ‘22 and the idea was finalized January 1. The second partner in it still has a hand in the company with working the sales side of things, still lending a hand and being a part of it, but now leaving the creativity aspect up to Parnell.

Mix Media One has already covered a plethora of events in Pampa such as PampaFest and some high school events. As for Parnell, the plans to continue and grow the company are a challenge the 19 year old is ready to take on.

“I already have some really cool plans, some big aspirations” Parnell said. “I want to grow it bigger but also make sure to keep it in here in Pampa, the community that raised me and has given me this opportunity.”
In his time before taking over the company, Parnell was able to work alongside some established photographers that landed him in New York that he plans to incorporate with the company that will allow it to be spread further across the U.S. In the coming months, Parnell has some work coming out.

“I shot a couple music videos that’ll come out soon, and a documentary that I can’t talk much about just yet,” Parnell said. “I also shot some photos of Luke Combs that will be out soon.”

The company will continue to grow and bring more content to the Pampa community and further under the new leadership.

“We’re just getting the car gassed up,” Parnell said. “So I’m ready to get going and do some exciting cool things with this company that I have Pampa to thank for.”
