Permanent Jewelry For All

Kelli and Barry Beck took ownership of Rheams Diamond Shop in January 2021, the company had already been established for many years as was Pampa’s number one jewellery destination. The company started doing and offering permanent jewellery back in June 2022.

“My daughter was one of the reasons we got into doing this,” Kelli Beck said. “She kept telling me that this was a growing thing people were wanting in different towns and so when we went to market, I decided we’d do it.”
Market, is the annual jewellers convention hosted in Las Vegas, the place for shop owners to see what’s new and pick up new things. Beck went to the spot where the welders who did permanent jewellery and got into the field. The bracelets come in a wide range, Rheams has 70 different styles to chose from for men, women and children.

“We have styles for everyone,” Beck said. “We have women that come in and get matching bracelets all the time with their partners or kids.”
“We also have a women that comes in every month to get more bracelets put on,” Alisha Hanna said. “She has seven on one arm and around 10 on the other. She’s got addicted to them, just like we have.”

The bracelets welding process is a small scale of welding, using a pulse welder. The bracelets are sized to the length the buyer would want it to be, and then a small clasp is interlinked and welded to keep it all together.

“When we weld them on, we place a pad of leather between your arm and the bracelet,” Beck said. “It’s a small weld and it takes only a few minutes to do the entire thing. The bracelets are welded and stay on really good, of course if you get them caught on something or if you intentionally pull them off.”

If they do come of or have to be taken off for a reason, Rheams is always happy to reapply the weld as long as you bring the bracelet back in to them. The 70 different options vary in price from $35 to $75 a piece.

“They truly are for everyone,” Beck said. “We have some that are more for men, but of course anyone can get anything. Dads come in all the time with their daughters and get a bracelet with hearts on it to make with their daughters. My husband has bracelets on, I have a couple and Alisha has four at the moment.”

The new trend of permanent bracelets that is growing all around the country and world, has made it’s way to Pampa and has continued to grow in popularity here in Pampa.

To view the options that Rheams has to offer, some are showcased on their Facebook or can all be seen in person. The amount and variety will continue to grow over time.

“I look at new ones that have come out and if I like them, I order them for the shop,” Beck said. “Periodically we have new ones added, but we will continue to grow how many we offer.”

During the month of October they offered a special edition for Breast Cancer Awareness, adding to the collection of options with plans to offer more options and seasonal ones as well.
