Susan Gale (Combs) Nabors, 66, of Pampa gained her wings on Wednesday January 27, 2021.  She passed away unexpectedly from heart complications at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.

Celebration of life services are pending with Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Nabors was born on March 7, 1954.  Susan was the fourth child of six born to Eugene and Florence Lucas Combs.  She was a longtime resident of Pampa where she married and was blessed with two daughters.  Susan worked several jobs and retired from Walmart after over 20 years of employment.  She loved fishing, camping, and anything outdoors.  Susan enjoyed gardening and finding good deals at yard sales.  She was incredibly talented, creative, and enjoyed sewing and crafts.  Her favorite thing, above all else, was spending time with her grandchildren and planning family get togethers for special occasions.

Susan was smart, savvy, kind and funny.  She never met a stranger, and she loved a good conversation.  Susan was always there when someone she loved was in need; doing whatever she could to help.  She was full of love, with lots of good advice and a great sense of humor.  Susan was loved by many and will be forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her great-granddaughter, Aislee Lucas; a brother Dennis Combs; and two sisters, Cheryl Robichaux and Carla Adkins.

Susan is survived by two daughters, Misty Hembree-Pulliam and husband Bill, and Terra Hembree both of Pampa;  a brother, Kenneth Combs of Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister Dana Combs of Ft. Worth; a brother-in-law, John Robichaux of Houma, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Kaytlyn Lucas and husband Chris, Madison Tuttle, Rosslyn Pulliam, Charles Hembree, Blake Hembree, and Alexandria Hembree all of Pampa;  six great-grandchildren, Alyvia, Aileen, Jensen, Aliza, Charlie, and Peyton; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.   She also leaves behind two very good and dear friends, Sherry Davis and Connie Cuevas.
