The first annual Water Balloon War took place on Saturday, September 2nd in Central Park. Plenty of fun was had by all who attended despite the heat, keeping cool with all of the water-filled activities.
Roll the Dice brought out their trailer to provide food for the event and the Hoover volunteer fire department provided a water truck. The Moose Lodge provided cornhole equipment, a tug-of-war rope provided by Austin Elementary, water tanks courtesy of W&W and ice donated by Atomic Ice. Additional monetary donations were made by Linda Laycock, United, Mikey’s Liquor, Raymon Ponce, B&G Doug Youree and Joey Aufleger. Gift cards and gift certificates were also provided for raffle winners by Aaron and Kasey Baird, Ate-Oh-Six, FireCreek, La Cueva, Mejia’s Bakery, McDonalds, and Wendy’s.

Additionally, Josh and Candace Watson are also winners of a gift certificate.
