Aubrey ‘Skeet’ Earl Pollock

Aubrey “Skeet” Earl Pollock, 95, 95, formerly of San Saba and Pampa, passed away on October 30, 2019 in Lubbock.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 8, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Pollock was born October 25, 1924 in Corsicana. When he was a young boy, he attended school in a small two room schoolhouse near Pampa. He did attend school at Pampa High School through the 10th grade. That is when he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corp. During his time in the military, he came home during a leave and married Ellen Louise Baxter, his high school sweetheart. They were married on December 18, 1944, she passed away on March 15, 2005. They were married for 60 years. After he was discharged in 1945, he was hired by Mobil Oil Co., who he worked for over 40 years before retiring. His job required him moving over 27 times in a three-year period. He made friends everywhere he went. Skeet was a member of VFW Post #0068 and American Legion Post #0068. 

Survivors include special friends, Billy Hardy and his wife Shirly and their children of San Saba and Wayne Linder and his wife Linda and their children of Lubbock; and numerous friends.
