Barbara Gail Rector, 79, of Pampa died Sunday, November 21, 2021 in Pampa.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 26, 2021 in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler with Rev. Norman Rushing, officiating.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa with the family receiving friends from 2:00 - 5:00 PM. Another viewing will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Robertson Funeral Directors in Wheeler.

Barbara was born April 20, 1942 in Shamrock to Curtis Lee and Rose Fern James Kidwell. She was a 1960 graduate of Wheeler High School. Barbara moved to Pampa in 1967, where she worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 33 years prior to her retirement. She loved going to Senior Citizens everyday and always enjoyed visiting with people. Barbara dearly loved all of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bud Kidwell; her brother in law, Dave Kreyling; her nephew, Mike Johnson; her niece, Kim Kidwell; and her nephew in law, Charlie Johnson.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Kreyling of Pampa; her niece, Kathy Borden and husband Leland of Linden; her sister in law, Karilyn Kidwell of Amarillo; 2 great nieces, Renee Bynum and husband Rodney and Chelsea Roberts and husband David; her great nephew, Micheal Hunt and wife Shelley; several great great nieces and nephews; several step nieces, nephews, step great nieces and nephews, and step great great nieces and nephews; and dozens of cousins.
