Billy Joe Fulton, 84, of Alanreed, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2024. 

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Alanreed Cemetery in Alanreed under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon, TX.

Billy Joe was born on April 9, 1940, in Gray County, TX, to Velma Lois and Euil Vivian Fulton. 

He graduated from Lefors High School in 1958 and received an Associate’s Degree from Frank Phillips College in Borger in 1960. 

He married Joy Winfield on January 20, 1961, in Lefors, TX.

Billy Joe worked for Texaco for 31 years, retiring as a production foreman in 1987. 

He was a rancher for many years in Gray County and a Baptist. 

He enjoyed raising cattle, going to auctions, telling stories, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always had a smile on his face.

Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Gene Fulton and David Ray Fulton; and two sisters, Lois Vivian Turner and Patricia Curtis. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joy Fulton; son, Larry (Myrna) Fulton of Lefors; daughter, Beth (Ken) Miller of Lubbock; 5 grandchildren, Nick (Ashley) Miller of Lefors, Valerie (Jeremy) Cossio of Pampa, Dr. Gabe (Robby) Miller of Birmingham, AL, Mariah Fulton and fiancé Jeremiah Bowles of Amarillo, and Louis Fulton of Canyon; and 6 great-grandchildren, Barrett Miller, Caleb Miller and Landry Miller of Lefors, and Aurelia Cossio, Silas Cossio and Avalyn Cossio of Pampa.
