Brenda Gayle Morris, 72, of Pampa, passed away on February 29, 2024, in Amarillo.
Per Brenda’s wishes, no services will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Brenda was born on July 1, 1951, in Canadian and has been a Pampa resident since 1954.
Her house had an open-door policy, and she was available twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week.
Brenda was a compassionate person who loved animals- she was especially fond of pigs and had many pig artifacts throughout her home.
In her free time, she enjoyed fishing and camping and her hobbies included crocheting, Tik-Tok, doing nails, and an assortment of crafts.
She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her life-partner, Billy McKeen in 2019; her mother, Jewell (Judy) Herring in 2012; father, Robert A. Herring in 2009: a son, Timothy Capell in 1970; brother, Robert G. Herring in 2007; and a sister, Sonya Herring in 1959.
Brenda is survived by seven children, Gerry Douglas, Kim Johnson and husband Ken, Uvonnia Forbes, Brandy Winters and husband Brian, Brittanie Hernandez and spouse Vanessa, Keith Kelley, and Charidee Kelley; a sister, Barbara Herring; 24 grandchildren; 35 greatgrandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; and other extended family.
