Duane Warren Dahl, 87 years old, of Pampa, Texas, passed from this life into eternal rest on Monday, June 12, 2023, in Pampa. He was born one of nine children to Arthur and Gladys Dahl in Preston, Minnesota on November 10, 1935.

Shortly after graduating from high school, Duane enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. During his two-year term, he was primarily stationed in Germany. Before moving to Pampa, he had worked as a label operator for Libby’s and then as a truck driver for over 30 years. He and wife Lois moved to Pampa in 1996 from Jacksonville, Texas and he continued as a truck driver until 1999 following a stroke at which time he retired.

Once retired, he discovered computer games and when not fully engulfed in them, he was probably watching old westerns on his television. He loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his family and friends and his bubbly personality, love of joking around and gift of gab were like a magnet drawing others close to him. His pranks, laughter and tender heart will be missed by all who had the fortune to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a loving wife of 44 years, Lois Marie Lester Dahl; a brother, Donald Dahl and sister, Phyllis Dahl.

His love and laughter will be remembered by his six siblings, Richard Dahl and wife Pat of Stewartville, MN, Robert Dahl and wife Jane of Rochester, MN, Joann Radke and husband Robert of Rochester, MN, Carolyn Miller of Rochester, MN, Patricia Leach of New Jersey, Roger Dahl and wife Beverly of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Theresa Dahl of Rochester, MN; grandson, Richard Hardy and wife Yolanda of Pampa; two great-grandchildren, Michael Hardy and wife Summer and Elizabeth Hardy all of Pampa. His memory will also be cherished by a vast number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Should donations be a preference, the family suggests they be made to his church home, Fellowship Baptist Church, 622 E. Francis Ave, Pampa, TX 79065 in his memory.

Celebration of Life Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Brother Joel Osbourne officiating. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
