Dwight E. Chase, 75, of Pampa passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas.

A memorial celebration of life service will be held 2:30 PM Thursday February 11, 2021 at Hillside Christian Church in Pampa with Pastor Jared McKinney, pastor, and Derrell DeLoach, officiating.  Private family burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.  At the request of the family, face masks are required at the service.

Dwight was born March 11, 1945 in Paris, Texas to Erving and Fern Hutchings Chase.  He graduated from Pampa High School in 1963.  After high school he attended Frank Phillips College in Borger.  At an early age, Dwight went to work for his father at Chase Oilfield Service where he learned all aspects of an oilfield service company.  In 1980, he purchased the business from his father and continued the reputation of Chase Oilfield Service.  Dwight later changed the name to D. E. Chase, Inc.  He married his best friend and the love of his life, Annette Folmar, on May 12, 2001 in Amarillo.  Dwight loved riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, competing in enduro races, and teaching Jody and his friends to ride and compete.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.  Finally, after years of vacationing in Ruidoso, he purchased his mountain oasis where he loved to relax and spend time with friends.  Dwight was past road captain of the Amarillo H.O.G. Chapter, past Vice-President of Boozefighters Motorcycle Club, past President of API, two-time past President of Pampa Country Club, and a member of the advisory board at Happy State Bank.  

Dwight was a loving father, mentor, and caregiver to all his children, treating them all the same. He was also the best Papa to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Ashley.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Jody Chase and significant other Colleen Valingo of Pampa; four daughters, Jacque Chase of Rifle, Colorado, Leslie Littlejohn and husband Shane of Pampa, Kristin Watkins and husband Mason of Pampa, and Callie Jo Ruzich and husband John of Panhandle; a sister, Shirley Chase of Ingleside; a brother, Bobby Chase of Pampa; seven grandchildren, Kristi Aldridge of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kayden Burgess of Pampa, Kaylee Burgess of Pampa, Madison Watkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kamden Littlejohn of Pampa, Averie Jo Ruzich of Panhandle, and Kora Ann Watkins of Pampa; and three great-grandchildren.
