Evelyn Delores Boyd, 90, of Pampa, Texas passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, in Odessa, Texas.
Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor at Grace Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born on August 27, 1933, in Dallas, Texas to Arvil and Lillian Stephens Garrison.
She married Russel Boyd on September 7, 1957, in Pampa, Texas.
Together they built a life in Pampa where they raised their children, Ronald and Tim.
Evelyn worked at Walmart Pharmacy, H&R Block, and Ideal Drug.
She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association.
Evelyn stayed activate with work until her retirement in the early 90’s.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling in the RV with Russel. Evelyn also enjoyed crafting and sewing.
She was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Evelyn was a great cook and a good friend.
She will be remembered and deeply missed as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Lillian Garrison; her husband of 56 years, Russel Boyd; and two brothers, Charles and Gerald Garrison.
She is survived by her two sons, Tim Boyd and wife Tawanna of Odessa, Texas and Ronald Boyd and wife DeeDee of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Amanda Flores, Amber Boyd, Coby Hext, Shelby Brown, Matt Boyd, and Shelby Landers; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
