Kenneth “ Rex “ Gage

Kenneth “ Rex “ Gage, 86, of Pampa, Texas, passed away at Pampa Regional Medical Center in the early hours of September 21, 2023 joining his beloved wife in heaven. He was born on December 8, 1936 to Earl and Allie Gage of Pampa.

Rex grew up in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School.  On November 3, 1953 he married the love of his life, Ruby Riley, in California. After arriving back in Pampa he started R&R Services, and worked there for many years until he retired. He also owned a small plot of land where he loved raising cattle. Prideful of his work ethics, he expected his kids to work hard as well, he often times was quite stern, but loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids dearly. Rex could be hardheaded but it was overlooked by his incredible sense of humor and pranks from time to time, you could hear his laugh for miles. In his spare time, you could find Rex at his favorite fishing hole or in his barn listening to his two buddies, David Kregor and Donnie Duree, pickin’ their guitars. When given the opportunity, he got a kick out of doting on his ten grandkids and 26 great grandkids.

Meeting him at the doors of Heaven where his parents, Earl and Allie Gage; beloved wife, Ruby Dell Gage; daughter, Cynthia Gay Flansburg, and 8 siblings.

Left behind to carry on his legacy are his two sons, Stephen Gage and wife Batyah of Paradise, Tx, Kenneth Gage and wife Jan of Woodward, OK; ten grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, Leslie Chenault, Stevie Lopez, Katie Gage, Christina McSperitt, Joshua Gage, Meggan Patrick, Addison Gerdes, Garrett Gerdes, Brandi Boiler; twenty-six great grandkids; a dear friend, Walter Brown of Pampa and many extended family members.
