Misty Auwen, who faced her own cancer battles in 2017, has a standing tradition of giving back to other Pampa women going through the same battle. This year, Auwen has the support of Pampa Home and Sleep Store. The store has donated a signature pink chair to the cause, all ticket funds raised go towards Pampa women fighting the battle many face.

“One in eight women face this battle,” Auwen said. “I had my diagnosis and fought, and I know what it takes to do that. It’s a lot of your time and money lost fighting for your life, so since my diagnosis I have done something ever since to give money to those around me going through the same fight.”

Pampa Home and Sleep Store donated the chair, meaning no money out of the funds raised have to go back to the store for the cost of the chair.

“The owners graciously donated the chair,” Auwen said. “They knew what this cause meant to me and donated this chair to help raise as much money as possible.”

Tickets can be purchased, 1 ticket for $5 or 5 for $20, up until Friday October 28, the drawing for the chair will be Tuesday, November 1st.

“This is a great cause,” Auwen said. “I am so excited to give this chair to the lucky winner, but more importantly to give this money raised to the women we’ve selected. I won’t stop doing a give back, it’s my mission until I am no longer here.”
