Altrusa of Pampa will be hosting their annual Soup with Mrs. Claus on December 9th from 5:00 to 7:30 pm. To go orders will be available at 4:00 pm with a dine in option being possible at 5:00 pm. The event will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall on 318 North Cuyler Street.
This year, the role of Mrs. Claus will be played by Altrusa of Pampa President, Barb Hahn. Each family can get their own picture taken with Mrs. Claus, as well. In addition, each child who attends the event will be given a free book to take home.
Trudy Sprinkle, a member of Altrusa, provided an explanation of the event.
“Soup with Mrs. Claus is the sole fundraiser that Altrusa of Pampa does throughout the year,” Sprinkle said. “The majority of the soups – all but the chili – are donated from different businesses in town. It’s a huge blessing for us.”
Every member of Altrusa participates in this festive event. From selling tickets to setting up for the event to helping throughout the meal, all the members are ready to make Soup with Mrs. Claus a magical time.
Tickets are available now from any Altrusa member or at the Pampa chamber of Commerce. Tickets will be sold at the door, as well. Tickets for adults and children ten and up are $10 each. For children ages three to nine, tickets are $5. Children two and under get in free.
